about

This is a concept album inspired by a songwriting process called splurging. I'm bending the rules of "splurging." I'm getting this "splurge" information from conversations with a generous friend that knows I like to create music.

I wrote these songs as quickly as possible and then listened to them later to refine them. All of these songs were created with my iPhone 7 and GarageBand. I used GarageBand on my computer for the "mastering" process. I'll want to skip the "mastering" process NEXT TIME.

There are lots of "Asian Instruments" (as Apple puts it) in these songs because the various instruments are available on my iPhone 7. I want to maximize the thing it does best. This was also a motivation for this concept album. I decided to have the asian instruments in all the songs.

Is "asian instruments" the correct term? I hope so. This album is a mixture of different cultures instruments. I have great respect for the original way these instruments are play and I trust that my twisted interpretations will not offend a real player. Many of the instruments like the Koto, Pipa, Yangqin, and Guzheng have been detuned an octave or two. I like it sometimes.

Some of the songs are soothing and relaxing and some are attempts at aggressive electronic music... Drum and Bass and Hip Hop n stuff.

about

Tetrahedroseph Long Beach, California

Currently sounds like tripped-out cumbia, reggae, and worldmusic. Featuring steel drums, #TheBrokenYellowGuitar, and the Weird Double Barrel Bass Pans.

Lots of songs with a steel drum twist and juicy bass.

Lots of music created with an iPhone5s or iPhone7 and GarageBand.

Good music for any background.
