"Like Water" existed without lyrics for a long time. I wanted to compose a song based off a vocal melody I was hearing in my head. First, I thought of something sassy. Then, I constructed the melody with my iPhone5's synth. For inspiration, I imagined how a sexy RnB woman would sing a sassy melody. Eventually, I felt inspired to add lyrics. I sound nothing like a Diva.

The song's name is a reminder to stay “flowing.” "Like Water" turned into my thoughts while enduring the progression of a relationship blurred by mental illness. The majority of the song is grumpy, expressing an unhealthy collection of my thoughts and experiences. The lyric line, "trust and patience, no regrets” is my attempt at some healthy advice to all who experience life's adversities.

The distorted guitar is a real electric guitar (Tele Star) recorded acoustically with my iPhone5s. I added the distortion with an effect in GargageBand. The electric guitar was not plugged in, I don't even have an interface.

"Like Water" is more expensive than the other songs because I don't like it. It was not fun to make and it almost held back the release of this entire project. Yes, it's embarrassing.
